Minimal traffic management will remain in place through the work site over the long weekend, including a temporary 30km/h speed limit, and drivers are asked to take extra care when travelling through the area.
The southbound lane closure will be reinstated on the night of Sunday 12 July and will remain in place until Sunday 19 July as planned.
After that, the works will move away from the road to build the rock wall, allowing both traffic lanes to reopen while the remainder of the project is completed, with only nighttime lane closures planned towards the end of the project.
Council thanks residents, businesses and road users for their continued patience and understanding as we work to complete these essential repairs.
