Tauranga City Council invites proposals for the above contract.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future look and feel of Tauranga's transport system that will contribute to managing future growth and congestion to the benefit of the vibrant community that chose to make this region their home.
This procurement relates to the delivery of Route Option Selection and Safety and Network Functionality Audit on a number of identified corridors in Tauranga. These corridors link key origins and destinations and identify the greatest opportunity for people to cycle.
The Route Option Selection process will be undertaken on an evidence based approach that delivers safe and connected cycleways that support all ages and abilities (AAA). This will enable Tauranga City to deliver quality, fit for purpose potential cycle routes that clearly considers the context of the wider transport network, impact on local communities, project costs and risks.
This work will help support consultation with local communities, inform decision making by Elected Members and develop a programme of work for implementation.
Respondents are encouraged to assemble a team that will best achieve the Council's objectives for the project by either drawing on their own company-wide resources or by bringing resources from outside of their organisation into their team. The successful team will be required to work in a collaborative manner. This could include (but is not limited to): joint working parties, knowledge transfer tools and co-ordination of reviews.
