Ōropi Road between Maleme Street and SH29A will be closed from 6am Thursday, 30 April to 6pm Friday, 1 May 2026 to carry out this emergency work.
A detour will be in place via SH29A, Cameron Road and Maleme Street.
If the work is completed earlier than expected, the road closure will be lifted earlier. The road will be open in time for the weekend.
The works to remediate the slip will happen at a later date. Further details will be shared when available.
