Oropi Road (Greerton) closure to be lifted overnight

Works to investigate an under-slip on Ōropi Road in Greerton have been completed and the road closure will be lifted by morning on Friday 1 May.

Works to investigate an under-slip on Ōropi Road in Greerton, north of the SH29A roundabout, have now been completed and the road closure is being lifted overnight. Ōropi Road between Maleme Street and SH29A will be reopen in both directions by morning on Friday 1 May. Thanks to everyone for your patience – we acknowledge the impact this closure had on the wider network today.

Staff will now assess options to remediate the under-slip and make a plan for those future works. We will share further details when available.

In the meantime, the road will be open in both directions, with vehicle lanes moved away from the slip to ensure road user safety.
