Survey works on Fifteenth Avenue and Turret Road to get underway

As part of the planning and design for the Fifteenth Ave to Welcome Bay upgrade, a series of non intrusive surveys will be carried out along sections of Fifteenth Ave and Turret Rd between Monday, 25 May, and end June.

These surveys will help Tauranga City Council better understand existing underground services and site conditions before any detailed design begins.

The work involves specialist survey equipment which is either handheld, pushed or vehicle mounted and does not require digging or disruption to underground services.

To minimise impacts on traffic and the community, surveys will take place during both day and night shifts. Temporary traffic management and short term lane restrictions may be required at times. All work is weather dependent.
