Tauranga City Council has confirmed its support for the Mount Maunganui College 50-metre training pool expansion proposal, following comprehensive due diligence.

Tauranga City Council has confirmed its intention to progress with a redesigned Memorial Park Aquatic Centre to be built on the site of the existing Memorial Pool.

The community is invited to have its say on the future of Mercury Baypark Stadium and whether it supports the continuation of speedway activity on the site, with public consultation now underway.

Tauranga City Council have made a commitment to a new aquatic facility at Memorial Park and will now look to see if the current design and scope provides value for money for the community.
