Tauranga communities are invited to give feedback on plans to upgrade Cameron Road from 17th Avenue, near Tauranga Hospital, to Maleme Street by the Tauranga Racecourse.

The continued upgrade of Cameron Road to support housing intensification on Te Papa peninsula is back on track with Council confirming it wants to go ahead with delivery of the project from 17th Avenue to Maleme Street.

On time, on budget and being delivered safely. That was the message to Council’s City Future Committee yesterday on the progress of some of the top five major transport projects either underway or in the planning stages.

Tauranga City Council is meeting on Monday 9 December and Tuesday 10 December to consider a number of important decisions for the future of the city.
